2008 was a very successful year. GCSE and Key Stage 3 results were excellent, reflecting the hard work of staff and pupils.

As a Business & Enterprise Specialist School, over the last year we have involved our own pupils associated primary schools and local high schools in exciting and innovative activities. The success of the school is reflected in the many awards which we have received: most recently the prestigious Leading Aspect Award for” Promoting self esteem and high levels of achievement through Entrepreneurial Learning, in collaboration with the Community and Business Partners” also the “Award for Connexions Excellence”. The National Mentoring Award, National Enterprise Network Award, Certificate of Merit for Outstanding Education and Care, and Success in Adding Value Award amongst others. This year we have received: International School Status at Foundation and Intermediate levels, Membership of the Value Added Schools Club and of the DfES club for Most Improved Schools. Currently we are applying for, the Inclusion Mark and the Quality Standard in Cultural Diversity.

We are grateful to the Arcadia Group, Capio Oaklands Hospital and Salford Foundation not only for their generous sponsorship but also for the whole hearted commitment they continually demonstrate in support of our activities.

Our Pupil Progress Leaders, Transition Mentor and Social Inclusion Co-ordinators all support our pupils in order to ensure that pupils obtain the maximum benefit from the stimulating environment we provide.

We see education as a partnership between home and school. You will always be welcome in school should you have any questions or wish to discuss any aspect of your child’s welfare.

In this prospectus you will find information about how the school operates. If there is anything else you would like to know, please contact us. We will be glad to help.
