All hallows
We aim to provide a broad and
balanced education for all our pupils, resulting in the highest possible academic achievement,
a full awareness of personal and social responsibility and a commitment to Gospel values through the teachings of the Catholic church.

The College - Admission Policy

All Hallows is a voluntary aided 11-16 Roman Catholic School. Admission to the school is under the control of the Board of Governors and according to the following principles. Within each category, first priority will be given to children who have a medical condition which means that admission to All Hallows is essential as indicated by a GP or, secondly, children in public care.

Also within each category, preference will then be given to pupils who have a brother or sister at All Hallows.

  1. Baptised Roman Catholic children who live in the nominated parishes of St Thomas of Canterbury, St Boniface, St Sebastian’s, Salford Cathedral, St James, St Joseph’s and All Souls and attend partner primary schools in these nominated parishes.
  2. Baptised Roman Catholic pupils who attend one of the partner primary schools but do not live in the nominated parishes.
  3. Baptised Roman Catholic pupils who live in the nominated parishes and who attend  other Roman Catholic primary schools.
  4. Baptised Roman Catholic pupils for whom All Hallows is their first choice.
  5. Other pupils attending partner primary schools.
  6. Other pupils

Over Subscription

In the course of allocating places for children within criterion 1 to 6 of the above criteria, it is possible that the School’s Admission Number will be reached before all the children within that criterion have been allocated places. If that happens all of the children within that criterion (but not children in higher criteria whose places will be assured) will be ranked according to distance from the school.

This would involve a measurement being made between the child’s permanent residence and All Hallows in a straight line by the shortest, safest route as identified by the Governors. Those children who live closest to the school will be those who get priority for places.

The admission number for All Hallows in 2006 is 120.
